Rinna Flohr was selected as Top Professional of the Year in the Arts for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Rinna B. Flohr Director of Expressions Gallery Arts and Educational Center, was selected as “Top Professional of the Year in the Arts” for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)!

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With having close to 4 decades of professional experience in the mental healthcare field, Rinna decided she needed a change of pace.  In 1991, she decided to re-enter the world of the arts.  She went back to school and received the title of interior architect and designer.  For the past 20 years she has certainly proved herself as an extraordinary professional, and expert in many fields.  Rinna is a dynamic, results-driven leader who has demonstrated success not only as Director of Expressions Gallery, but also as a philanthropist who turned her business into a nonprofit organization.  Rinna helps the artistic community by working with other community services to provide places for homeless artists to work indoors, store their art, and receive supplies and frames to create and show their art in professional galleries where they can sell their work and be a part of the Art Community. Expressions Gallery prides itself in bringing social awareness through art regarding the many issues we face and need to pay attention to.

Rinna designs and creates floral art and jewelry. She is responsible for showcasing her work at various galleries throughout California. In her role as director of Expressions Gallery she proudly presents the works of talented local and international artists in the areas of photography, painting, sculptures, crafts, garden art, film, music and more.   Through the educational center, Expressions offers art classes and workshops for children, adults and artists.  Rinna works tirelessly to encourage molding young minds to fulfill their dreams and explore their creativity.

Throughout her illustrious career, Rinna has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession and has been a sought after speaker. In 2010 Rinna was the recipient of the “Outstanding Professional of the Year with Who’s Who.” In 2012 & 2014 she was featured as “Top Industry Expert” and had a chapter dedicated to her in the publication.  In 2016 she was selected as “Top Female Executive of the Year” by Worldwide Branding and now selected as honored lifetime member and “Top Professional of the Year in the Arts” by the International Association of Top Professionals for 2017.

Rinna has dedicated her life to her work and has taken her social work skills, mental health skills, and her skills in the arts, married them into a beautiful way of life.  Rinna has been an asset to any organization she has been involved with and has donated so much of her time and energy to benefit others and the community. We are truly honored to have her as our Top Professional of the Year in the Arts and we know we will be seeing more great things from this woman!  I hope to meet her at the gala and I am personally nominating her for “Humanitarian of the Year for 2018.”

Looking back, Rinna attributes her success, to her love of helping people, her perseverance, staying humble and gracious and to those who have encouraged her. She says her work is never finished and the best has yet to come.  For the future, she will continue to contribute to her community and improve and change the lives of people any way that she can.
