Guido De Rijck Owner & Founder of G-U-I-D-O surfaces international was named "Top Designer of the Year" for 2016-2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)!
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities. All honorees will be invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
Guido De Rijck is a world renowned top international designer and decorator based in Belgium. He is also Owner & Founder of G-U-I-D-O Surfaces International. Guido specializes in decoration, restoration, design, and interior design. With his expertise and experience of over 20 years he has founded his own private label of cement floors named G Floors. Guido’s keen eye for space, style and his passion for decorating in the most purest form, has led him to decorate high-end homes across the world, and gave him the opportunity to establish key partnerships with several prestigious architects and decorators.
He studied chemistry, as well as chemical building materials and restoration, renovation techniques from distinguished experts across the industry. His appreciation of natural products and expertise working with natural materials and minerals has set him apart in his career. Guido produces his own mineral paint and uses his own wood aging techniques that are completely natural and green. He has been using natural, energy efficient light crystals and natural hand made paint finishes, to produce unique jewelry pieces, artwork, flooring, surfaces, wall art and has also used in his in ground pool designs.
He has been named Top Designer of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals for 2016 as well as Outstanding Professional of the Year with Bristol Who's Who. He has worked for famous designers such as Axel Vervoordt, Boens, Timmermans, Voorjans and Dries Van Noten. He was chosen to restore the private house of Calvin Klein in Miami and private house of Pablo Picasso in France as well as many other celebrities. From Farm Houses to Castles their is nothing Guido can't do and his work can be seen thru out the world. His work has also been featured in publications such as MaxLife, Who's Who and other lifestyle/industry magazines.
Guido speaks German, French, English and Flemish and volunteers his time to help children with cancer. When not working Guido enjoys tending his horse farm, skiing in the winter, and being creative. He is always on the lookout for new challenges, innovative designs, and decoration materials.
