Gary Ferone and Sunshine Senior Residence have announced a new location. "It is with great pleasure we will soon be opening our newest location in Stamford, CT – in a quiet residential neighborhood with the best quality care in the industry" said Gary Ferone. "This is our third location in the state of Connecticut and is continuation of our plan to improve the quality of senior living by offering residence options.”

Sunshine Senior Residence is now taking applications for their newest home and will be ready for residents by the end of the year. “Our homes provide a wonderful alternative to large institutional facilities, and make the transition from ones’ own home to a senior residence must less dramatic. Our goal is for our clients to feel at home, have a close network of friends and feel like they are in a family atmosphere.  We are there as an intimate support system and always striving to make them as comfortable as possible in their new home." said Ferone.

“Sunshine Senior Residences’ overall goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients," adds Ferone. "All rooms are equipped with CO2 and smoke detectors, fire monitors, interior sprinkler systems and a camera monitoring system. We have automatic Egress doors at every entry to protect wondering clients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Each home has a back-up generator to power up the entire home in case of power failure. Additionally, our safety protocol includes hourly check-ins on resident throughout the night. We maintain a wonderful loving staff to provide consistency in care and to enable us to succeed in offering the best value and quality of care possible. "  

“The homes are all ranch style, each with only 4 residents and sundrenched spacious living areas for true home like interaction. Sunshine Senior Residences have 24-hour staff at a 1 to 2 ratio: Fairfield Family Care provides two caregivers during the day hours and one caregiver awake at night to tend to residents' nightly needs as quickly as possible, with minimal downtime. Nutrition is paramount to the care given; only the finest and freshest foods are provided to the residents. During the summer we harvest fresh vegetables from our own outdoor gardens whenever possible. The option for residents to enjoy spending time outside on the desks overlooking our scenic property enhances the feeling of living in a traditional home.”
