Yanmar Congratulates HIMOINSA Racing Team for Successfully Completing the Dakar
OSAKA, JAPAN - 1/19/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- Yanmar Co., Ltd. would like to congratulate the HIMOINSA Racing Team for successfully completing the Dakar Rally Raid. Held in Argentina and Bolivia, January 3-16, the Dakar is known as one of the greatest and toughest sporting challenges of our times. The Team had a spectacular performance, with Gerard Farres finishing in 8th place and succeeding as the best Spanish rider.
In its support of the Team, Yanmar was joined by HIMOINSA S.L., a Spanish multinational company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of power generation systems, and which also became a Yanmar Group company in 2015. With factories and sales offices in Brazil, Argentina, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, the Group has made the promising Latin American markets a priority, and is proceeding with assertive preparations to accelerate growth in the region.
During the Dakar, Yanmar’s engines were put to full use to power the generators on the Team’s truck. Sturdy and with superior fuel efficiency, Yanmar’s engines proved one more time a reliable partner, accompanying the Team all the way through, in the austere environment of the rally.
Yanmar would like to congratulate all Team members, for the determination and fighting spirit they have proven times and times again during this impressive challenge.
