RECO CHAPPLE SERVES AS FASHION CONSULTANT
LIFETIMES ORIGINAL MOVIE "TONI BRAXTON: UNBREAK MY HEART" PREMIERES JANUARY 23
LOS ANGELES, CA - 1/20/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- How does an aspiring fashion designer become a Fashion Consultant on a made-for-TV movie? Well you work hard like fashion designer Reco Chapple.
Reco Chapple served as Fashion Consultant for Lifetime’s Original Movie, Toni Braxton’s UNBREAK MY HEART, starring newcomer Lex Scott Davis (The Exes) as the seven-time Grammy(R) Award-winning R&B icon, premieres Saturday, January 23 at 8pm ET/PT. Toni Braxton executive produces the two-hour film, which is based on her popular memoir Unbreak My Heart. Immediately following the movie, Lifetime premieres the special, Beyond The Headlines: Toni Braxton at 10pm ET/PT.
“When I received the personal request from Toni, to serve as a Fashion Consultant for UNBREAK MY HEART, I was speechless,” stated Chapple. “Toni has support my career as a black designer for years, by taking me on tour with her as her, dressing her for red-carpet such as the Grammys,” continued Chapple.
Chapple also worked with Danielle Hollowed head costumer, and Provi Fulp-Ramphal assistant costumer to provide a few of his original designs for Nikki Manage’s character in the upcoming, Barbershop 3 movie.
Chapple has been busy with relocating his headquarters from Atlanta, GA to Los Angeles preparing for the launch of his new showroom House of Chapple – Los Angeles. Chapple is also producing a new documentary that gives a grave insight of the struggles of African American designers in the United States. “Toni Braxton is one of the very, very few celebrities who supports black designers, stated Chapple, “ most celebrity talent don’t support us, they always go to black designers. With the boycott of the Oscars by some of the most elite black actors and celebrities in Hollywood, they should all practice what they preach, by supporting black designers.” This documentary will feature inlfuencers in the African American Design community.
