A Better Way Homes Realty in Cary, NC Partners with The Carying Place to Assist Formerly-Homeless Families

RALEIGH, NC - 1/20/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- Mimi Francis founded her company, A Better Way Home s Realty, with the aim to support families in their search for a home. Working in North Carolina’s Wake, Johnston and Durham counties, A Better Way Homes Realty is a dedicated supporter of non-profit organizations, in particular those that improve lives for families in the area. One of the local groups they assists is “The Carying Place” (TCP) – a local nonprofit 501(c)(3) that for more than 20 years has been providing working homeless families with adequate housing and training in essential life-skills, financial management skills, and jobs workshops that help to break the cycle of poverty. A Better Way Homes Realty recently hosted an event to raise awareness of The Carying Place and to provide each family with essential household items including cleansing products, tools and paper goods.

“This is the idea behind our name, A Better Way Homes,” said Mimi Francis Realtor. “Our guiding principle is to be a force for positive change within the Triangle area. Since 1993, The Carying Place has helped more than 350 families transition from crisis and homelessness into becoming stable, home-makers with a more than 90% success rate and we are honored to partner with them to assist more families.”

With its directly-owned or leased townhouses and condos, The Carying Place currently supports seven families, who were all previously homeless, inadequately housed, or who were in jeopardy of becoming homeless. The need for assistance is great though – The Carying Place receives more than 300 requests for services a month, an increase of 47% over past years. There are currently more than 250 families on their waiting list.
