Vietnam National Football Team and Cerezo Osaka to Participate in YANMAR CUP 2015
12/1/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- On December 17, 2015, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will host the YANMAR CUP 2015, a friendly match between the Vietnam National U-23 Team and Japan-based Cerezo Osaka Football Club, at the Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi. Yanmar Co., Ltd. will be the Match Naming Sponsor of this CUP.
Mr. Le Hoai Anh - General Secretary of Vietnam Football Federation said:" Vietnam National U-23 Team will start a year full of major events of the Vietnam Football by competing in the qualifiers of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. This is a top- ranking tournament of youth football in the continental and it also serve as an arena for the most potential players of Vietnam to show their talent and desire to reach new heights.
In order to help the Vietnam National U-23 Team having the best preparation in terms of expertise, besides ensuring all requirements regarding facilities, equipment for training are met, the Vietnam Football Federation will also build plans for the team to compete in different competitions, testing squad for the young footballers as well as coach Toshiya Miura. The friendly match with Cerezo Osaka football club will serve as one of the important highlights.
Vietnam Football Federation hopes that through the match with the strong team from Japan, the young players of Vietnam National U-23 Team will get all experience needed to launch the campaign for the 2016 AFC U-23 qualifiers that will take place in Qatar from 14th to 20th January 2016.”
A Partner Company of Cerezo Osaka, Yanmar has also been a Top Star Partner of the Vietnam Football Federation and of the national football team from March 2015. In its capacity as a Match Naming Sponsor of this CUP, Yanmar aims to increase sports exchange between the two teams, while at the same time contribute to the further popularization of football in the region.
