Now in its 37th year, this is the second time that the PNAA conference will be held in the nation's capital, which is expected to have the largest delegation of nursing professionals from all over the country.
What: 37th PNAA Annual National Convention
When: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 – Sunday, July 24, 2016
Where: Grand Hyatt, 1000 H Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001
This event’s theme is “Leading The Way to Innovation Excellence Through H.E.A.L.T.H (Health, Empowerment, Advancement, Leadership, Transformation, Healing),” which is congruent with the mantra of PNAA President Leticia Hermosa, PhD, JD, RN, “Lead Empower Transform: Let’s Do It.”
The conference will focus on the latest evidence-based topics on Nursing Leadership, Practice, and Research that impact on quality healthcare delivery as well as current legislative policies.
Featuring a wide range of activities, the convention will provide opportunities for attendees to participate in a number of informative programs including a leadership development program, educational sessions and a gala night. There will also be a series of networking opportunities including the most awaited 5K walk/run that will galvanize the community from all walks of life to participate and support the fundraising initiatives of the PNAA and the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation (PNAAF).
Once again, the convention will also provide a platform to showcase the diverse talents of the global nursing community, with the presentation of “Philippine Cultural Heritage Night.” The proceeds will help to carry out PNAA’s missions and initiatives including the unification of Filipino-American nurses in the United States and the participation of active professional and cultural activities in the local and global communities.
