The Bible uses political cartoons to represent nations. In the book of Daniel we find a ram in the Middle East pushing west, but it is stomped by a goat that flies from the west “at the time of the end.” That will be the end of militant Islam, but the ram is a more noble creature than a goat as suggested by Christ when he will separate the sheep from the goats. Dr. Richard Ruhling, author and Bible prophecy expert, shows how the Bible has better information than the Quran on current events as they unfold.
PRESCOTT, AZ - 1/6/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- More than a thousand years before Mohamed was born, God chose a ram to represent Islam and it seems appropriate because Muslims have a ram sacrifice, Eid al-Adha, to commemorate the sparing of Ishmael when Abraham was tested to see if he were willing to sacrifice his son to God.
But the Bible says it was Isaac who was about to be sacrificed when God spoke and a ram sacrifice spared Isaac (father of Israel). If we can answer which son, we should know which is the true holy book. The Quran says Kill the Infidels. The Bible shows who the militant infidels are and who will be spared, says Ruhling. The book of Daniel gives “the rest of the story.” It's the only book Christ recommended when he was asked about the end of the world.
In the 8th chapter of Daniel, a ram in the Middle East is pushing west (to Europe and the US). It angers a goat that “comes from the west on the face of the whole earth” (King James Bible supports the US coalition from every continent) and “touched not the ground” (first historic air war against Iraq).
The ram's horns that are broken are said to be the kings of Media and Persia. Alexander the Great conquered the Medes and Persians in the Battle of Arbela, 331 BC. But Ruhling says Daniel's vision is “at the time of the end” in verse 17. If this is so, the Medes and Persians are geographically Iraq and Iran. This is not hard to see--it's half true already with Saddam dead.
Islam may not understand why Allah would allow the Great Satan to win, because the US has brought alcohol, tobacco, movies of violence and sex, rock music, homosexuality—everything they see as evil, but Daniel's prophecy shows Islam as a noble ram, in contrast to a goat for the godless aspect of western culture--Ruhling says our understanding of Bible truth can save us from what's coming.
When militant Islam/Iran is also defeated, non-militant Muslims and Jews may understand God's sparing of Isaac (Israel) in sacrificing the ram. Ruhling opines that maybe then we can also understand Abraham's saying, “God will provide himself a lamb” in the 22nd chapter of Genesis.
A lamb was the focus of the Passover sacrifice and the 53rd chapter of Isaiah, but when a Jewish prophet announced Yeshua as “the Lamb of God,” it wasn't understood until after his death and resurrection witnessed by believers who ran away from the cross, but were willing to die for Him after seeing Him alive, says Ruhling, reminding us of faithful Christian martyrs in Islamic countries today.
