SANTA ANA, CA - 9/5/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- Dated August 18th, 2015: In the much anticipated case of ATILANO VILLALON vs. JOSE ABAD VEGA and GARY LANE, 12 jurors found in favor of plaintiffs who were represented by attorney Rod Bidgoli, a partner at the southern California’s premier civil litigation law firm of Irvine Law Group, LLP. This complex case involved 57 causes of action, seven plaintiffs, and four defendants. Plaintiffs had alleged civil fraud, racketeering (RICO), conspiracy, as well as a number of other causes of action. After deliberating for only about three hours, the jurors unanimously found in favor of all plaintiffs on all causes of action, and returned a verdict for nearly three times the plaintiffs’ out of pocket losses.
Plaintiffs also obtained prejudgment interest, costs, as well as their full attorney’s fees.
Rod Bidgoli, was quoted as saying, “Fraud and racketeering cases are some of the hardest cases to prove to a jury. But in this case we were able to prove to our jurors that the defendants had maliciously committed fraud; and the jury unanimously found in our favor.” He further added, “Of all the cases I’ve taken to trial, I will always remember this one as the one that the jury delivered real and complete justice.”
