Endocannabinoid Deficiency Foundation Changing Name to Impact Network

DENVER, CO - 10/29/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- The Endocannabinoid Deficiency Foundation (ECDF), the nonprofit organization supporting cannabinoid research and education, will officially become the Impact Network on November 1, 2015. This name change better reflects its mission of revolutionizing global health care through international and interdisciplinary research and education efforts.

The ECDF, soon to be the Impact Network, was founded in 2014 to accelerate cannabinoid research and provide educational support to healthcare providers and patients. It moved its headquarters from Los Angeles, California to Denver, Colorado in 2015 to take advantage of Colorado’s position as a leader in cannabis legalization and cannabinoid research funding.

“The name change emphasizes the lasting impact of our organization’s research and education efforts on ending human suffering and disease.” said Michele Ross, PhD, President of the Impact Network. “Our previous name and logo prevented us from creating relationships with state and federal research programs due to stigma.”

The Impact Network has been able to build a diverse Board of Directors with leadership experience needed to take our mission global. Current Impact Network projects include: fundraising for a multinational observational research study on the benefits and risks of cannabinoid consumption, creating the first international research consortium on cannabinoid medicine, and launching a livestreamed educational series featuring researchers, health professionals, and patients.
