Action Sport Filmmakers Risk Life and Limb to Get the Perfect Shot

NELSON BC, CANADA - 8/27/2015 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- Point-of-view photography has exploded with the digital revolution that is taking place, and now anyone can capture scenes of themselves doing crazy things using cellular phones or Go Pros. But the pros find still ways to take it up a notch and create images that stand out. In this behind-the-scenes episode for the feature length documentary The Search for Freedom, a 300 foot zip-line is set up capture pro mountain bikers Kirt and Lindsey Voreis. Suspended in a harness, the cameraman travels through the forest canopy directly above the riders as they fly down pristine trails in an old growth forest near the mountain biking mecca Nelson, BC. Using a 4K resolution Red camera, the crew can capture imagery that will transport viewers into the scene in an immersive and visceral way, giving them a feeling of being right inside the action.
