BEIJING - 08/10/2018 (PRESS RELEASE JET)
YOUDEAL, China’s largest peer-to-peer service marketplace, expands to Southeast Asia with free internet access powered by Xurpas’ ODX.
New users will join the 50 million people already making money by offering services in their spare time. Members can choose from a growing number of more than 300 categories, such as a neighbourhood dog walker, a local massage therapist, or a language teacher in a foreign country.
“Mobile data is expensive in emerging markets, often up to six times more than the average user can afford. This means consumers are offline up to 80% of the time,” said Ken Dong, YOUDEAL founder, when announcing the alliance to investors this week.
The key partnership with ODX solves a fundamental problem by providing free internet access to YOUDEAL services. Users now have 24-hour access to the skill-trading app, even if they are without a mobile data plan or airtime credits.
“Data-free access is a critical advantage in emerging markets. Your app becomes the default choice for most people most of the time,” says Nix Nolledo, ODX Founder and CEO.
YOUDEAL is a blockchain-based, real-time peer-to-peer services marketplace empowering freelance workers using an AI-powered, two-way bidding system to save users both time and money. YOUDEAL members are located in more than 400 cities and use services from a range of 300 categories. Early investors include China International Capital Corporation (CICC). Youdeal has already helped their 50 million users generate $8 billion (USD) of transactions in their free time. More information at www.youdeal.io
