ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA - 01/18/2018 (PRESS RELEASE JET)
World Liquors Invites Closed bids for the Iconic World Liquors Sign.. Bids for the sign to be emailed to Paul1601@worldliquorsinc.com. Subject line: Closed Bids. Please provide aphone number and address with your bid to expedite verification. Bids can also be brought to the storelocation at 1601 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Fl. 33713. Bids Must be received by February 16th,2018 and sign must be removed prior to March 16th, 2018. Purchaserwill be responsible for the cost and arrangements to move the sign.
Proceeds for the sign to benefit local charities.
Paul Misiewicz, President of World Liquors Inc hasdesignated the funds that are raised by the sale of the sign to benefit localcharities. These include Boley Centersfor Behavioral Health and the Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg, Fischer-Care Fund.The sign is now available for purchase as the property will be cleared fordevelopment by the purchaser of the property, Milhaus Development, LLC
Founded in 1961, theWorld Liquors store and the sign has enjoyed popularity among the locals, aswell as many artists and photographers from around the world. Images of the sign appear in numerous imageson the internet and in local galleries.
The sign was painted in the Spring of 2017 and the Sputnikrestored by local artisans Vitale Brothers of St. Petersburg, Florida.
