USA Laser Biotech president Dr. Nelson Marquina updates scientific foundation of therapeutic laser to treat acute and chronic pain

Dr. Nelson Marquina, MSc, PhD, DC internationally-recognized laser expert and president of USA Laser Biotech Inc is a contributing author of ‘Energy Medicine: Focus on Lasers’ in the third edition of the book, The Scientific Basis of Integrative Health, published by CRC Press, set to release on May 31.

His chapter lays the foundation of laser physics and the evolution of laser light, dating back to Einstein and Newton. Dr. Marquina provides a scientific basis for the clinical application of lasers, leveraging the benefits and the integration of therapeutic lasers into medicine and healthcare. His research analysis centers around the abilities of laser light to be safely absorbed by human tissues and organs for repair and cellular regeneration using non-surgical lasers.

Dr. Marquina is a developer of devices and protocols that integrate physiology and technology. His mission is to advance laser phototherapy to safely and effectively treat acute and chronic pain, inflammation and deep tissue healing.

In 2004, USA Laser Biotech Inc was the first company to bring FDA-cleared superpulsed laser technology as an advancement in pain-healing therapy to the United States. The company also introduced synchronized superpulsed and therapeutic continuous wave technologies for synergistic healing effects with its LUMIX lasers.

Dr. Marquina holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Hamilton College, a Master of Science in statistics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and doctoral degrees in systems engineering from the University of Houston and in chiropractic medicine from Logan University. He is a former Senior Scientist at NASA/Johnson Space Center and Director of Research at Logan University.

He currently conducts training seminars and research presentations in laser therapy applications in Japan, China, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Canada, and the Unites States.
