Founded by a team dedicated to researching non-financial uses of blockchain technology, Ubitquity aims to modernize the centuries-old method of recording real estate transactions.

The Blockchain Platform

Ubitquity created a functioning, easy-to-use enterprise-ready platform and API for inputting property information (e.g. property titles) onto the blockchain. The platform acts in parallel to current legacy paper systems. When transactions occur, relevant information about the property are automatically recorded on a stack, reducing future title search time, and increasing confidence and transparency.

Ubitquity is blockchain agnostic — compatible with Ethereum, HyperLedger, PostChain, Quorum, and others. While the company is focused on real estate currently, its platform can be applied to a spectrum of industries beyond real estate, such as aviation title and escrow, and hotel loyalty rewards.

The Business Model

Ubitquity has a multi-channel business model, and revenue is derived from multiple sources:

1. Pilot Fee | This initial one-time fee covers the cost of deploying its solution to the customer’s platform and performing any necessary modifications and customizations
2. Maintenance Fee | Ubitquity charges the customer a quarterly maintenance fee which covers the cost of hosting and regular improvements to the existing codebase
3. Additional Revenue Streams | Some customers are charged either a per seat user fee or a revenue capture percentage
