David Dripps and Brett Miller have sold their San Francisco-based building toy startup BRIK® to Bricks 4 Kidz® founder, Michelle Cote.

BRIK® began in March of 2015 with the launch of Brik Book on Kickstarter. Since the launch, the company has released several smash hits raising over $300,000 on Kickstarter and winning the grand prize of $100,000 on the premier of Steve Harvey’s Funderdome on ABC. BRIK’s award winning products have been featured in hundreds of publications around the world including Wired, Vanity Fair and Oprah Magazine.

"We’ve been working with Michelle for years," said Miller. “She has the knowledge and experience to build BRIK to the next level. We look forward to watching BRIK inspire play for the next generation of builders."

Michelle Cote is the founder of Bricks 4 Kidz®, an award-winning children's educational franchise with more than 600 locations in 44 countries. Entrepreneur magazine ranked the company the #1 children's franchise 4 years running for its STEM-based programming for children ages 3-13.

“BRIK is such a unique and fun product that aligns well with my experiences. I look forward to identifying additional opportunities for growth and expansion,” said Cote.

The BRIK® company headquarters will be relocating from San Francisco, California to St. Augustine, Florida in 2019.
