THE FAMOUS SUNLIGHT ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCES IT’S LONG AWAITED 3-CD ALBUM RELEASE

The name “Sunlight Orchestra” has long become the “Golden Quality Mark” in the event industry across the nation. Hailing from the promised land of Israel, the mellifluous voice of the master of ceremonies, Mr. Eddie Grimberg has taken the boundless event market of the US by storm. Born in the Soviet Union, once an émigré, the fellow in the mythological fedora hat was able to set a high standard in the industry, creating a unique niche by bringing together the best musicians and entertainers in a boldly new band, which has now grown to become an absolute leader in the intercultural entertainment event segment of America. 

The marvel of the project lies within the idea of eliminating the barriers and combining the sounds of the Great American Songbook with the whilom unknown motives of the Soviet Russia and modern Israel. Such unique symbiosis has ensued, creating the signature sound, so appealing to the people on both sides, who had virtually nothing in common in the yore days of the iron curtain.

“Having arrived in the US, I saw an opportunity to create a product the necessity for which was so evident, yet somehow missing. This country was built by immigrants, and the idea of a celebration of the cultural heritage seemed so natural to me, as a person who has been doing exactly that in my days in Israel. I then set out to put together a band which would be capable of accommodating the musical needs of both the American public and the immigrant audiences. I believe this idea was much more profound than what’s seen on the surface.Through our music and throughout the years we were able to bind together people of different backgrounds and different generations thereby creating new avenues of cultural exchange. That, in fact, was my American dream”. – says Eddie Grimberg, the founder of the band. 

Today, the award-winning band celebrates its 1000^th event as a well-established name in the entertainment industry. In its pocket there are all sorts of appearances, from local festivities to large-scale concerts, from concert tours with world-famous artists to significant political events, from weddings and Bar mitzvahs to open-air festivals from coast to coast, the band has done it all.

Dedicated to its “one-thousand” milestone, the band is about to begin working in one of the best recording studios of Hollywood, to create a 3 CD compilation of the greatest hits of the past twenty years on stage.

“We’ve been constantly asked to sell the CD’s with the popular songs, performed in our special rendition, and today I am happy to announce that in the foreseeable future these requests will be fulfilled. The project will include the music of various genres, diversified across three compact discs, a Russian, an Israeli, and an American.In order to accomplish such complex task, we invite professional musicians from Russian, Israeli and American musical backgrounds, who are familiar with the peculiar properties of each such genre. Russian pop music is very different from the Middle Eastern motives of Israel and contrast to the Rhythm and Blues of the United States. We take this project very seriously and dedicate special attention to the hand-crafting of each and every element of the specific song.”

It is said that the music will range from the enchanting percussive beats of the middle east to the soulful sounds of the Russian guitar to the swinging brass of the American classics. 

“…While still keeping it a secret, I will say that some of the songs, rendered by us will include the best of Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder of the US, Dana International and Ofra Haza of Israel, and Alla Pugacheva, Alai Oli, and Ruki Vverh of Russia.This will be a great gift to all of our fans and a dignified summation of our creative activity for the past decades”.
