LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA - 12/08/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Opioid addiction is a national healthcare crisis. More than 40.000 Americansdie annually from various forms of opioid overdose related to addiction. Opioid addiction has two components: the physical component and the psychological component. Now there is an 8-hour procedure to help opioid addicts stop the physical component of opioid addiction without going thrcugh the usual 7 to 14 days of physical withdrawal.

Using this procedure called “Intravenous Infusion of Naloxcne and Intramuscular Injection of Extended-Release Naltrexone (Vivitrol) Under Anesthesia". Dr. Thomas Yee, MD has been able to simultaneously eliminate the physical withdrawal and to safely administer Vivitrol on patients who are active users of opioids. This was previously thought to be impossible.

Vivitrol is an extended-release form of opioid blocker Naltrexone. which was approved in 2010 by FDA to prevent relapse of addiction. While Vivitrol is in effect for 30 days the patients' opioid receptors are blocked. rendering them insensitive to opioids. The injection can be repeated monthly for up to 18 months providing a period of abstinence to allow counseling and rehab to work on the psychological component of opioid addiction.

Dr. Yee is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine. and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Over 500 patients have undergone the procedure since 2007 without complication at addiction treatment clinic surgery centers. www.saferapiddetox.com, in Southern California and Las Vegas.
