Scandy has re-launched its website for creating 3D printed globes from 360º spherical panoramas. The previous site (app.scandy.co) allowed for panorama image uploads along with 3D mesh files which added complexity to the user experience. Given the proliferation of immersive 360º photography from Ricoh (the Theta line), GoPro (the GoPro Fusion), and others,  Scandy believes users need an easier way to turn their digital images into a physical mementos.

“There are better ways to view a 360º panorama than on a 4 inch phone screen. And not everyone wants to put on a headset to share the memory,” notes Scandy co-founder and CEO Cole Wiley. “The Scandy Sphere offers travelers, adventurers, festival goers, and extreme sports athletes a great way to preserve their experiences and share them with others. Wedding photographers can also add Scandy Spheres to their suite of product offerings.”

Scandy Spheres are 3D printed with gypsum powder and high-quality inks, and hand finished for durability with a custom surface finish. Scandy Spheres come in 3 sizes and price points:
