Renee Gucciardo selected as "Top Attorney of the Year" by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Renee K. Gucciardo, Attorney & Founder of The Gucciardo Law Firm, PLLC has been selected as Top Attorney of the Year for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over 2 decades of professional experience in the Legal industry, Renee has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field. As a dynamic, results-driven leader, she has demonstrated success not only as a Family Attorney but also as an outstanding Prosecutor who took hundreds of cases to court, efficiently defeating the best criminal lawyers in private practice.  Renee has been very exciting to watch and has an impressive repertoire of settlements under her belt.

Renee leads a team of legal professionals who are dedicated to resolving family conflicts as amicable as possible.  What makes her firm so special is that Renee takes each client and treats them as an individual where they receive specific attention towards their matter.  The firm specializes in Divorce, Child Custody, Parenting Time, Property Division and Spousal Support.   Renee graduated Michigan State University in 1989 and received her J. D from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 1992.  After working with the Jackson County Prosecutor from 1991-1993, she then became an Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor from 1993-1998.  During that time Renee also was an instructor for both the Oakland Police Academy where she taught cadets criminal law and controlled substance procedure.  Renee also taught for the Michigan Prosecuting Attorney’s Association, courtroom procedure, evidentiary law and how to try a case.  Renee became the first woman to be promoted to the Special Drug Unit.  In 1999 Renee entered private practice where she began to build a reputation and trust among her clients.  In 2001 she opened up her own firm which was limited exclusively to the practice of Family Law.

Throughout her illustrious career, Renee has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the legal industry.  For 2018, she is being considered for the Top Female Executive Award by the International Association of Top Professionals and to be featured in T.I.P Magazine (Top Industry Professional Magazine.) For 2017, she was selected as Top Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals.  She has been awarded the prestigious Super Lawyer designation by both Detroit and Super Lawyers.  She was selected to be included in Marquis Who’s Who.  She is an affiliated member with the Michigan State Bar Association, The MBA Family Law Section, The Oakland County Bar Association and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

Looking back, Renee attributes her success to her training, her perseverance, mentors she has had along the way, and her passion for the law. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family. For the future, she will continue to grow as a professional, grow her firm and fight to protect her clients’ rights any way she can.
