RapidIO.org along with member companies will demonstrate innovative High-performance computing (HPC) RapidIO technology at the International Conference for HPC, Networking, Storage and Analysis

AUSTIN, TX - 11/11/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

RapidIO.org, the organization that promotes and develops standards for the RapidIO interconnect architecture, will exhibit at SC16, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 13-18, 2016. RapidIO.org will be at booth # 731 along with member companies Fidus Systems, Integrated Device Technology (IDT), Prodrive Technologies, and Western Digital Corporation.

At the SC16 Conference Fidus Systems will demonstrate their FPGA based NVMe Over Fabrics Network Controller, a pure PCIe-based solution that allows data center architects to extend PCIe access of solid state drive (SSD) solutions over the network without the need for SCSI and SAS protocol translations.  In addition, they will demonstrate how multiple nodes of FPGA+CPU+SSD based storage can be scaled out over a low latency 50 Gbps RapidIO network using the direct RapidIO connectivity and IDT RapidIO enabled switching on the Sidewinder-100 card.

IDT will showcase its solutions for the HPC market around RapidIO technology at the SC16 Conference. These include 100ns latency switching, NIC’s as well as board and sub system level platforms

Additionally, Prodrive Technologies will be providing details of their RapidIO 10xN switches which open new doors to grow within the Industrial-HPC, Medical-HPC and general-HPC markets, building on the strong footprint that Prodrive already has.

"We are very pleased to have Fidus, IDT, Prodrive & Western Digital demonstrating key high performance computing RapidIO based building blocks in the RapidIO.org booth at SC16.  RapidIO unified fabrics for performance critical computing deliver best in class deterministic 100 Gbps throughput, low sub 100ns switching latency and unmatched peer to peer heterogeneous scalability," said Rick O’Connor, Executive Director of RapidIO.org.
