With approximately 500 homeless people in Toronto that are struggling to find access to a shelter this year, Project Winter Survival is providing much-needed help to these individuals. To help with the cause, 6 staff members from Qode Media will be offering their services as volunteers for this worthy activity on Event Day, January 13.
There will be 3,000 winter survival kits packed in the morning on Event Day followed by a press conference. The kits will then be loaded into vehicles and delivered to the homeless in the afternoon. More than 11,000 requests are made every year for these kits, which are distributed to frontline agencies and outreach programs in the GTA. The kits are then handed out to the most vulnerable individuals living on the streets in Toronto.

It's been an extremely cold and snowy winter and many people haven't been given access to shelters this year. Daniel Handiaz, Frank Rojas, Lubin Louis, Yoav Lai, Carolyn Doidge and Kelly Samuel from Qode Media will be volunteering their time. They will be packing kits that include at least 30 winter essentials such as sleeping bags, gloves, hats and much more.
