Plexus® Wins Making A Difference Award

Plexus Canada was named the recipient of Direct Sellers Association of Canada’s Making a Difference Award recognizing the company for its charitable and community service efforts.  The award was presented to Plexus Worldwide™ General Manager for Canada, Darla Brown, at the 2019 DSA Canada Conference held in Vancouver June 23-26.

In presenting Plexus with the award, the DSA highlighted the Plexus Worldwide Nourish One™ initiative to combat hunger around the world. 

“Plexus has only operated in Canada for a short time and the organization immediately began demonstrating its commitment to community service and charitable efforts,” said Peter Maddox, President of DSA Canada.  “DSA Canada is thrilled to recognize Plexus as the winner of this year’s Making a Difference Award and to thank them for making a profound difference in the lives of fellow Canadians.” 

Plexus kicked off its Nourish One initiative in Canada in January announcing a 25,000 USD donation to Mary’s Mealsduring its “Super Saturday” training events held across Canada. Plexus also announced it would make a monetary donation for every serving of its Plexus Lean™ product sold in Canada to Mary’s Meals, leading the company to donate 250,000 meals for community-run school feeding programs in 2018 and many thousands more already this year in 2019.

Mary’s Meals is an international organization that works with community volunteers to set up school feeding programs across 18 of the world’s most impoverished countries including Malawi, Liberia, Kenya, Syria, Haiti, Thailand, and India. By providing a daily meal in a place of education, chronically poor children are attracted to the classroom where they can gain a basic education that provides an escape route out of poverty.
