Historic venture to provide workforce training for expanding new industry

TAMPA, FL - 02/15/2018 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Pharmacology University will be offering 12-week courses as part of its inaugural class.

A Compassionate Approach to the Medical Needs of our Community:

Pharmacology University is a leading institution and pioneer in providing educational programs for the new and emerging Medicinal Cannabis Industry over the past ten years. We aim to continue promoting the importance of education in the entire community of doctors, health professionals, patients, family caregivers and policy members concerning the compassionate use of Medicinal Cannabis as an alternative to dangerous opiates endangering our communities.

A Proactive Response to Workforce and Economic Development:

Daniel Elias seeks to meet a growing nationwide and nascent State demand for qualified and trained professionals in the healthcare and distribution sectors of the Medical Cannabis Industry. The Pharmacology University courses are structured in the areas of agricultural, scientific, legal, natural, medicinal and human knowledge that encompasses medical cannabis.

The course prepares students with time tested techniques that even though will not allow cannabis materials into the classroom, will still provide for a comprehensive study on each one of the different fields of the industry, it is the first of its kind classroom style education in Tampa, Florida. Twelve (12) week course every Saturday for three hours with flexible schedules so people can take classes at different times. Classes are from: 9am to 12pm; 1pm to 4pm; 5pm to 8pm; at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East/Brandon. Our courses will provide education to Doctors, Lawyers, Dispensary Technicians, Cultivators, Oil Extraction Specialists, Managers, Entrepreneurs and anyone wishing to partake in the incredibly financially rewarding field of the medical cannabis world.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the state registry currently has 71,700 patients. A recent state revenue impact study projects that by 2022 there will be 472,000 medical cannabis patients. Under the new legislation, there will be a total of 17 Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC) licensed, with an additional 4 MMTCs for every 100,000 patients added to the registry and each of the MMTCs can open and operate 25 retail dispensaries throughout the state.  Plus, for every 100,000 patients added to the registry, each MMTC will be allowed to open and operate an additional 5 dispensaries. This brings the total allowed dispensary count to 610 by 2022 and equates to thousands of job openings for entry level dispensary agents or cultivation site workers and those with a certificate from Pharmacology University will have a definite advantage for those positions.

A New Political Landscape:

This historic venture acknowledges shifting political realities at the state and federal level, including the passage of Amendment 2. To educate people on present Florida medical cannabis laws we are launching an ambitious education campaign to teach and fight for better laws and a better quality of life for the patients of Florida.
