ATLANTA, GA - 10/30/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

NSA Georgia is the leading source in Georgia for community, education and entrepreneurial business knowledge needed to be successful in the speaking profession. One of the largest and most active chapters of the National Speakers Association, it’s made up of full- and part-time professional speakers, trainers, facilitators, consultants, coaches, authors, entertainers, and those considering a speaking career.

Teaching “the business of speaking,” NSA Georgia provides the tools, techniques and professional connections speakers need to succeed. “We practice the spirit of our founder, Cavett Robert, which is to give freely to others,” said NSA Georgia president Sandy Weaver. “Most people are surprised and delighted at how generous our members are with their time and counsel. And we know it’s more than getting the opportunities to speak. We are committed to helping speakers get paid for their engagements.”

Meeting professionals who plan conferences and company events can find professional speakers by searching topics like leadership, change, sales, life balance and teamwork on NSA Georgia’s Speaker Directory

At morning meetings on the second Saturday of each month, national experts teach the latest sales and marketing, technology, and presentation skills. Guests are welcome to attend free for their first visit. At the twice-monthly Speaker Lab, speakers practice segments of their presentations and get valuable feedback from their peers. There’s also a more casual First Friday Coffee meeting where members and guests take a deep dive into specific speaking topics.

For those who are serious about starting or accelerating their speaking career, ProPath, a year-long program meets after each monthly NSA Georgia meeting. The next class begins in February and is limited to 18 students.

The meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month (except December) from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm in midtown Atlanta at The Gathering Spot at 384 Northyards Boulevard NW.  Learn more and register at  www.nsageorgia.org.
