Nicole Caley selected as Top Professional of the Year in Finance and Management by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Nicole Caley, Former Director of Accounts Payable for Ace Hardware has just recently been selected as Top Professional of the Year in Finance and Management for 2018 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry. 

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With almost 2 decades of professional experience in the accounting industry, Nicole has already proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field.  As a dynamic, results-driven leader, Nicole has demonstrated success not only when she was the Director of Accounts Payable for Ace Hardware, but in every prior position that she has ever served. Nicole’s key responsibilities for Ace Hardware Corporation included, leading a 38-person team that ensured the accuracy of $4 billion in payments annually.In her role, Nicole concentrated intensively on Organization Leadership, staff development, and training. While Nicole was extremely committed in her role, Nicole’s true passion lies in spending the majority of her free time serving the Chicago land area through True Mentors, Women’s Leadership Summit, as well as private speaking engagements, specifically focused on the inner city of Chicago and the young girls there. In 2016, Ace supported a Women’s Leadership Summit that Nicole hosted. Corporate communications, HR and new business development were all present. It was a great success and led to the efforts of developing a Women’s Business Council at Ace to support women’s leadership opportunities and close the gender gap on senior leadership.

Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting with a Certificate in Forensic Accounting, and then her Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University. Throughout her illustrious career Nicole has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. For 2019 she is being considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professional ) Magazine and for the Top Female Executive Award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).For 2018 she was selected as Top Professional of the Year in Finance and Management by IAOTP, for 2017 selected as Outstanding Professional of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women, and in 2016 she was awarded AP Director of the Year for Organizations >$1b by The Institute of Finance and Mangement. She is the President of the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Finance and Management, member of the Board of Directors for True Mentors, is an active servant/mentor for the True Mentors Organization, and volunteers as the Director of Strategic Development for the NFL Alumni in Chicago.

Looking back, Nicole attributes her success to her perseverance, mentors she has had along the way, and staying passionate in all her business endeavors.When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. For the future, she will continue to climb up the corporate ladder in her career, while also making an impact in her community.
