NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHES – AND GIVES MOUNTAIN LOVERS AND CLIMBERS THE CHANCE TO SHOW OFF THEIR FAVORITE PEAK ON THEIR CHEST

Mountain enthusiasts can now proudly wear their favorite peak as a new website, Marvel Mountain, launches this week. The site offers dozens of unique graphic designs, featuring some of the world’s highest peaks, and browsers can also request custom designs of their own favorite mountain.

The site was created by a professional photographer, Rogier Chang, from the Netherlands, who has enjoyed a life-long love affair with mountains since first climbing in the Alps with his father as a child.

“It struck me one day that I could use my love of the mountains to create something that really spoke to other mountain lovers – hikers, travelers, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts. I also want to inspire others to explore mountains for themselves – and the versatility of a t-shirt is the perfect medium for this,” explained Chang, describing how his initial idea of Marvel Mountain came to life.

“I then realized that I could combine my professional experience as a photographer with my passion for mountains to create amazing t-shirts that showcased my passion, while also celebrating some of the greatest mountains in the world. I want these designs to inspire, to remind, and to encourage people – and of course, to proudly wear their favorite peaks on their chest!”

Chang’s evangelism for mountains is as infectious as it is understandable: the Netherlands is famously flat and takes its name from the fact that some 26% of its landscape is below sea level. Its highest point is a hill in the province of Limburg known as Vaalserberg, standing at the height of just 322 meters (1,058 feet) – a far cry from the sky-touching peaks of the many mountain ranges of the world.

Now Chang has created a website that gives people who love the great mountains of the world – from the Matterhorn and the Eiger through to Everest and Mount Whitney – a reminder of past climbing achievements and the towering peaks that call them even when they are grounded in the flattest of plains.
