SAN FRANCISCO, CA - 07/05/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Drive about 30 miles Northeast of San Francisco and you’ll come across a little-known city that’s being called West Contra Costa County’s best kept secret. The City of Pinole offers up a lifestyle that many people dream of. With popular retail stores like Trader Joe’s and Sprouts as well as locally owned establishments like Pinole Creek Café, Pear Street Bistro, Tina’s Café, Oriental Express Coffee Shop, Tachikawa Sushi, and more; Pinole provides the amenities and local charm that make a community truly amazing. The Saturday Farmer’s Market also adds to the character of the city and is a popular weekend stop for residents.

“Pinole is a great little town – it’s centrally located,” say residents Romy and Rose Susvilla. “Our children have grown up here… It’s one of the best kept secrets, we think.”

Pinole is accommodating for growing families. Pinole Valley High is currently being rebuilt and Pt. Pinole is a popular spot for people of all ages. It’s a regular sight to find dog walkers, families, and casual fisherman all enjoying what Pt. Pinole has to offer.

That same sentiment is held by many of the people living in Pinole. There are several areas that offer breathtaking views. Plus, the location of Pinole makes it convenient for commuters that work in San Francisco. People who commute into San Francisco have several options to make their daily travel a little easier. There is ride sharing from Richmond Parkway, which is one exit away on I-80. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is also available, about 9 miles from Pinole. Commuters can drive to the nearest stop and then take BART to skip the traffic.

“I’ve sold quite a few properties in Pinole, and when I go around the neighborhood – especially around Silvercreek Neighborhood of Pinole – I meet these wonderful neighbors who have been living here for 20, 30, or more years,” says Jojo Soriano, a local realtor with CENTURY 21 Real Estate Alliance. “Once they move in, no one seems to ever want to move out! I think it’s because the landscape setting is so mesmerizing, serene, and it’s really quite nice.”

Romy and Rose Susvilla are one of the few homeowners who are ready to sell. “This house is too big for us now that the children have all graduated from college and are out on their own.”

“The Susvilla’s home at Alhambra Way in Pinole is currently listed for $828,888,” mentions Jojo Soriano. “If this home was in El Cerrito, Berkeley, or Oakland; it would be well over a million dollars.”
