CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF MANDRILL IN A TRIBUTE TO THE FUNK

Mandrill legend Neftali "Funkadrill" Santiago, will be making rare live concert and speaking engagements wherever they perform. This Funkadrill mix, "The Drill Experience", is a "non-stop" explosion of funk that will leave audiences wanting more! Old school and new funk fans will highly enjoy this show!

Funkadrill and his band are holding true to the integrity of the Mandrill sound. They are an eight piece band of pure seasoned fire! Funkadrill called on George Black then went back to New York City to hand pick this exceptional band of musicians. Together they take you back to the 70's funk era, when funk was a revolution and Mandrill was at the peak of there career!

Funkadrill: "This 26 minute show is perfect for funk festivals, as well as an opening act for major headliners across the world! It's feel-good music that the world needs to hear right now! This mix features seven Mandrill funk favorites of mine: Fencewalk, Hang Loose, Ape Is High, Get It All, Fat City Strut, Mango Meat, and Positive Thing".

Don Hanson-tenor sax and vocals, Kirk Brown-trumpet and vocals, Corey Wallace-trombone and vocals, Billy Grant-bass guitar and vocals, Glenn Gibson-rhythm guitar and vocals, Kenny "Staxxx Richardson-B3 organ, keyboards and vocals.

The Drill Experience show is dedicated to the nine original members that created the Funky side of the Mandrill sound. From 1972-1975, Lou Wilson, Carlos Wilson, Ric "Doc" Wilson, Claude "Coffee" Cave, Omar Mesa, Charlie Padro, Fudgie "Kaye" Solomon, Neftali Santiago, Dougie Rodriquez.
