Levine Family Law Group Receives "Pro Bono Leadership Award"

On May 18, 2017, Lawyers from Levine Family Law Group (LFLG) and Hello Divorce were awarded Volunteer Legal Services Corporation's "Pro Bono Leadership Award" for their ongoing commitment to providing legal assistance to low income residents in Alameda County. VLSC provides day of court assistance to self represented litigants and offers free legal clinics in various areas of law. 

"Volunteering is not only a chance to provide much needed legal assistance to people in our community who can't afford an attorney -- but an opportunity to become better lawyers and even more importantly -- better humans," said Erin Levine, Managing Attorney of LFLG and CEO of bay area startup, Hello Divorce. "We have spent the last several years harnassing technology in an effort to make our practice more efficient, thereby freeing up time to be more active in our community and more present in our personal lives. I am beyond proud of this team - most of whom have come from nonprofit backgrounds and/or have a long history of volunteering through various organizations and closer to home - in our kids' schools." 

The Levine Team expects to volunteer an additional 100 hours in 2018 - most of which will be spent working on projects centered around 'access to justice.'
