K-9ite Company, creators of the world's first LED safety belt for dogs, the K-9ite Safety Light, have launched their new innovative device on Kickstarter.  The campaign, which started on January 22, 2018 and runs for 35 days tells the compelling story of how the K-9ite Safety Light was conceived.  In addition to an inspired and professional campaign promotional video, it also features a gamut of artist’s concept renderings, CAD drawings, early prototype photos, and uncut demonstration videos that engage visitors to the page, that bring the project.This project, which has a funding goal of $25,000.00, speaks directly to passionate dog owners, and people who know them.

The K-9ite Safety Light is an all-in-one LED safety device worn by dogs so that dog and owner stay visibly connected in dark, low-light, or night conditions.  It is specifically designed to maintain visibility of a dog even in unexpected moments, during walks or hikes, when a dog can suddenly be overcome by fear or excitement in a primal reaction to various sights, sounds, or smells they encounter.  

In these unforeseen situations, a dog can easily and quickly wrestle to back out of its collar and leash assembly in one swift move of its head.  This is a common problem of dog owners that results in the dog frantically running loose.   Unfortunately, many of these unforeseen episodes end with serious injury to the dog or worse because they are not visible to motorists, cyclists, or other pedestrians.  The K-9ite Safety Light solves this problem by designing the device in a belt style that is worn over the dog's withers, and then their SekureFit elastic comfort band firmly hugs the dog's chest and fastens with a quick release buckle.  This design, unlike a harness, can be universally worn by all dogs big and small, and across all breeds, because it is safe, comfortable, and does not restrict a dog’s natural movements.
