He has received many awards, accolades’ and has been featured in numerous publications and magazines such as the Million Dollar Advocates Top Trial Attorneys Forum; New York Magazine and New York Law Journal's Top Trial Attorneys.  He was the recipient of Elite Lawyers and named Best Attorney multiple years in a row from different organizations. For 2018,  he is being considered for a feature article in T.I.P Magazine (Top Industry Professional)  and for 2017, he was selected as Top Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals.  Mr. Ciafone currently serves as Executive Director of the Aldos Democratic Club and is the Attorney for the New York State Fraternal Order of Police Big Apple Lodge. He is a member of the East River Kiwanis and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Ciafone has been appointed a Referee and Guardian Ad Litem for the New York State Court System. Mr. Ciafone was elected twice to Community School Board 30 with the highest number of votes where he served as President and Treasurer of the Board. On the Board Mr. Ciafone distinguished himself as a strong advocate for child safety, increased crossing guards, security and police presence at the schools and had the best attendance record for Board members in the entire City of New York. He helped lead the fight for school uniforms, and during his tenure, District 30 produced the largest number of new schools creating seats for early childhood, elementary and middle school students. Mr. Ciafone was also elected a Judicial Delegate.

Mr. Ciafone was born and raised in Astoria. He graduated with Honors from New York University being on the Dean's List and receiving the Chancellor's Award. He then went to St. John's University School of Law where he received the Judge Mary Egan scholarship and was an Editor of the Forum. Aside from his successful legal career, Mr. Ciafone has been a sought after speaker and lecturer for the New York Real Estate Expo several times including the Columbia University Exposition where he spoke about Mortgage Foreclosure issues.  Mr. Ciafone has also had the rare fortune to serve in all three branches of government. He was an intern to former Governor Mario Cuomo; worked in the Legal Division in the New York City Council and was an intern to New York State Supreme Court Justice Frederick Schmidt.

Looking back, Mr. Ciafone attributes his success to his experience, mentors he has had along the way and staying true to his passion for the law and fighting for what is right.  Mr. Ciafone says he has been blessed, he loves doing what he is doing, and feels this is just the beginning.  For the future, Mr. Ciafone will continue to work hard, continue to seek justice and make a difference in people’s lives anyway that he can.
