Coeclerici S.p.A. invests in the Group and becomes majority shareholder

IMS Deltamatic S.p.A. strengthens its capital structure because of the investment by Coeclerici S.p.A. in a majority stake (67 percent) that will enable growth and leadership reinforcement on a global scale. This transaction gives IMS Deltamatic S.p.A.—the owner of brands including GOEBEL IMS, deltamatic, ROTOMAC, KASPER, TURRA and DELTAMOULD—full industrial continuity, thus preserving all branches’ activities with their current employees, management, clients and suppliers. Raffaele Ghilardi, Chairman of the IMS Deltamatic S.p.A., has been confirmed at the helm of the company, together with the CEO Daniele Vaglietti.

While receiving financial provision, IMS Deltamatic S.p.A. will benefit from Coeclerici’s expertise, structure and strong knowledge of international markets, where the company has been a global reference point for raw materials supply chain management for over 120 years.

The takeover fits in the business diversification strategy carried out by Coeclerici and represents a long-term investment in an Italian company with significant future development opportunities, both on national and international markets.

“IMS Deltamatic is a prime example of Italian industrial excellence whose value is recognized and appreciated all over the world,” commented Paolo Clerici, Chairman and Chief Executive at Coeclerici S.p.A. “A front runner on a global scale, the company has a high growth potential that we intend to tap into alongside the current management, to identify new development opportunities.”

Raffaele Ghilardi, Chairman of IMS Deltamatic S.p.A., added: “We believe that the agreement with Coeclerici represents a responsible and forward-looking decision. The deal will allow for better growth opportunities in local and international markets.”

IMS Deltamatic S.p.A. was founded in Bergamo in 1983 by Raffaele Ghilardi. With over 300 employees - 190 of which in Italy - and a turnover of about €60 million, it is one of the world’s leaders in the design and manufacture of special machineries for the converting, packaging and automotive industries.
