Immersive LED Video Screens Enhance Des Moines Restaurant Experience

Foodies in Des Moines flocking to the grand opening of The Hall at The Foundry this Saturday will experience the food and beer hall’s new technology-driven dining experience.

The Hall has employed the use of specially built LED displays used for ordering, staff interaction and entertainment. The LED displays, built and installed by Urbandale-based Insane Impact, will be situated throughout The Hall, and include four 3.91mm 12’ x 7’ HD video boards.

The screens are designed to make ordering at The Hall as easy as possible. Food and drink options are displayed on a dynamic, interactive menu through an app-based program that also includes an all in one point-of-sale system. Once a patron places an order, personalized updates are provided in real-time on the LED video boards.

Located in a refurbished railcar building with open, communal seating, the technology in The Hall seamlessly integrates with the industrial design of the space, and encourages interaction and engagement, a key value for the establishment.  

“The Hall is all about creating a sense of community through quality food and drink,” said Nick Kuhn, owner, The Hall. “The interactive screen technology allows us to take that engagement to a whole new level by giving people a unique way to experience The Hall and interact with one another.”

In addition to displaying food and drink options, the LED screens offer the capability to show live TV, social media feeds or movies.

The grand opening of The Hall at The Foundry, Des Moines is taking place this Saturday, October 28, and will feature a variety of food trucks, more than 50 taps of local and international beers, wine, and nitro coffee, surprise events, and a performance by Abbie & The Sawyers from 7:30-9pm. The Hall is located at 111 South 11th St. Ste 200, West Des Moines, IA 50265.
