Hip-Hop Takes Over the Radio this Summer at G’s Melody Café

G’s Melody Café is bringing some of the rawest talent in hip-hop to the station this summer. From June 21 to September 22, 2017, the internet radio station will be playing hip-hop music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including songs from those artists who are banned from traditional FM radio and cable television stations.

“At G’s Melody Café, we are dedicated to bringing the best music to our listeners world-wide,” says Annette Haywood, Marketing Director. “This special summer programming is our way of paying homage to the greatest artists in hip-hop, including those that have been banned from FM radio and cable TV music stations.”

G’s Melody Café delivers music that cannot be found on FM radio. Their summer programming will feature some of the legends of the hip-hop genre as well as those artists who push the boundaries. Unlike traditional FM radio stations that feature commercial rappers and censored songs, G’s Melody Café will feature some of hip-hop’s rawest talent, including Channel Live, Cocoa Brovaz, Freddie Foxxx, GAZ, EI-P, D.O.C., Diamond D, and dead prez and many more.

Before now, listeners would have to have satellite radio to hear many of these hip-hop performers. G’s Melody Café is making sure that everyone has access to these powerful artists in a commercial-free format. Anyone with a Wi-Fi accessible device can tune into the station to enjoy their summer programming without any special equipment or connection.

“Some of hip-hop’s greatest talent is not being played on FM radio stations today, and many of these artists have been banned from BET,” Haywood says. “That’s why we’ve decided to dedicate our summer airtime to the rawest hip-hop artists out there. We want to give artists an outlet to share their message and allow our listeners to access some of the best that hip-hop has to offer.”
