A Zip code should not determine a child’s destiny.

LOS ANGELES, CA - 11/28/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Children are our future. This is far more than a catch phrase. Harmony Project National Division takes this to heart with their efforts to help children living in low-income communities across America transcend their challenges through a unique music-based program. Harmony Project’s crowdfunding campaign goal of $100,000 will be used to engage more under served children and help them succeed in college and in life.

Throughout the United States schools are continuing to remove classes in art and music. Harmony Project National Division works with affiliates across America to bring music back into the lives of less privileged children who face huge challenges and too often fall through the cracks.

Harmony Project programs include four to ten hours of music classes and rehearsals per student per week, with professional teaching artists and peer mentors. Students learn to work together in large and small ensembles over multiple years, and receive musical instruments through loan programs. Harmony Project commits to students throughout childhood, from ages 4 to 18.

The crowdfunding campaign: https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/HARMONY, launching on November 28th, aims to raise an additional $100,000 to help more low-income children discover harmony through music. The personal growth, and life-empowering discipline and creativity students develop through intensive music training are transformative on many levels.

Please consider Harmony Project’s unique musical intervention for low-income students this holiday season. Your contribution is fully tax-deductible and will help a low-income student succeed in college and in life. More than 90% of Harmony Project students who participate for three years or more go on to college, making this is an extraordinarily worthy investment in the future of our children.
