Gunter ISD Partners with Symmetry Turf for New Synthetic Field and Track at Tiger Stadium

After winning the 3A State Football Championship in 2016, Gunter will be playing for back-to-back State Championships when they face Newton on Thursday night, December 21, at AT&T Stadium. As the Tigers prepare for the 2017 state championship game, Symmetry Turf will begin work to totally change the look of their home field, Tiger Stadium. 

This spring, Tiger Stadium’s natural grass field will be converted to  Symmetry Genesis^® artificial turf. Symmetry’s Genesis^® line represents the pinnacle of quality, performance and safety that the industry has to offer. In addition, the existing track will be replaced with a Symmetry Revelation^® track system.

Doing the turf field in conjunction with the track will give our students a green space they can use 365 days a year which will be incredible for all of our athletic programs, bands and cheerleaders.”

The turf field will be a much safer surface than the current field we are playing on in terms of concussion prevention. We are continually striving to improve our facilities in every possible area to accommodate our students’ needs in our growing school district.”
