Genie Harrison selected as Top Female Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Genie Harrison, owner of the Genie Harrison Law Firm was selected as Top Female Attorney of the Year for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the Legal Industry. 

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over 2 decades of professional experience in the legal industry, Genie has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field. As a dynamic, results-driven leader, she has demonstrated success not only as a trial attorney but also as an outstanding advocate for plaintiffs in employment cases including all forms of discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual abuse and civil rights cases. Genie has been very exciting to watch and has an impressive repertoire of 7 figure verdicts and settlements under her belt.

Genie is active in her community and has been recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession.  She has received many honors and awards for her leadership and commitment to the field, including the Top 10 Super Lawyers in Southern California where she ranked # 3 on the prestigious List, Best Lawyers in America, Top 50 Women Lawyers and has an AVVO rating of 10.0.  For 2017 Genie was selected as Top Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals and was also featured in Angeleno Magazine's June 2017 edition. In 2016, she was named Outstanding Lawyer of the Year by the Global Who's Who. She has been named to the Southern California Super Lawyers List in Plaintiff’s Employment litigation for nine years in a row, for which only 5% of all attorneys in the state qualify in any single year, and is one of only two women plaintiff lawyers named by the Daily Journal as one of California’s Top Labor & Employment lawyers for seven years. She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and is its Executive Committee Treasurer, is a member of California Employment Lawyers Association, National Employment Lawyers Association, The National Trial Lawyers Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Labor & Employment Section, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, and a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America.
