Over the past four years, Future Leaders & Young Entrepreneurs (FLYE), a DC based 501 c 3 non profit has worked with over 90 student athletes empowering and educating them in topics such as entrepreneurship, leadership, gentlemanly behavior/etiquette, financial literacy, college preparation and health and wellness.
On Sunday November 20, 2016, Future Leaders & Young Entrepreneurs will host their 4th Year Anniversary Celebration to benefit The Knowledge Capital Coalition (KCC). This event will be held at Impact Hub DC – 419 7th St. NW 3rd Floor WDC - from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
During this event FLYE will honor NBA All Star John Wall's Family Foundation with the FLYE Pro Athlete Impact Award and My Brother’s Keeper Special Assistant to the President, Michael Smith with the Change Advocate of the Year Award. Guests will also enjoy a keynote address by Richard Clemmons Jr., COO of joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.

About Event Beneficiary - Knowledge Capital Coalition:
The Knowledge Capital Coalition (KCC) is a DC Ward 8 youth initiative that seeks to provide supplemental education and programming that prepares Ward 8 youth for higher education, meaningful careers and a path to employment and economic prosperity. In alignment with Mayor Bowsers’ recently announced “Pathways to Middle Class” initiative, KCC in collaboration with DC Parks & Recreation, Ward 8 officials and John Wall's Family Foundation, is launching this initiative in Ward 8's Malcolm X Opportunity Center as well as partnering with Friendship Academy and Ballou High for our sophomore and junior student participants.
