Funded Today Presents The Breath+Band, The World’s First Metabolic Fitness Tracker

This week, PATH (http://www.thefatband.com) launched the Breath+Band on Kickstarter. It is the first fitness tracker that analyzes users' rate of energy burned by taking a sample of the athlete’s breath. The Breath+Band uses a unique and cutting-edge method of analyzing chemicals present in the breath. The device is able to determine the ratio of carbon dioxide to oxygen in the user's breath, which in turn can be used to calculate how much fat and sugar is being burned. Then, the app is able to make recommendations tailored to each individual wearer.

The app learns over time how exercise routine changes metabolism. It then customizes exercise recommendations based on how the user’s body responds.

“Metabolic testing is the gold standard for fitness training and conditioning, but until now, has been reserved for elite athletes.," says Gaurav Shukla, the creator of Breath+Band. “We wanted to make this technology available to everyone, so the average person can understand their bodies on a deeper level and more easily reach their fitness goals."

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can choose between a variety of colors at a special pre-launch price. The Kickstarter campaign is available at http://kck.st/2gWQAmi. Each pledge comes with a wristband, magnetic charging case, app, and breath sensor. Backers can expect to receive their rewards in July 2017.
