MEDFORD, NEW JERSEY - 08/28/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Amy Rash, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has been named Principal of St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford. Mrs. Rash comes to her new position from Delran Middle School where she was Assistant Principal for the past two years.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome Mrs. Rash as Principal of St. Mary of the Lakes where we look forward to a long and prosperous working relationship,” said Reverend Daniel F. Swift, Pastor of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and School, upon making the announcement. “Her depth of education, wealth of experience, and strong foundation in the Catholic Faith will be of great benefit to both our students and their parents in the coming school year and the years ahead.”

“My professional and academic experiences have helped prepare me for my new role as principal,” says Mrs. Rash. “I applied for the position because it seemed like the perfect opportunity to connect my experience in education and leadership with my own Catholic school background.  Attending Catholic school from kindergarten through 12th grade gave me a strong foundation in academics and faith that served me throughout college and beyond.

A Catholic school education is not only academically rigorous but rich in morality and service to others. I am excited to return to this environment,” Mrs. Rash goes on to say. “St. Mary of the Lakes School is already an outstanding school. I hope to continue that tradition of excellence and help our students achieve even greater successes.”

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Mrs. Rash is a graduate of St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from The College of New Jersey, Ewing, NJ, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, matriculating at the University’s cohort in Delran, NJ.

She resides in Cherry Hill, NJ with her husband and two children.
