LOS ANGELES, CA - 10/10/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

Indie folk-pop artist FASCINOMA released the first single off of her forthcoming album today, along with the announcement that the full album will be available across digital platforms on October 27, 2017. The album titled, Don't Let Me Down, is a Beatles cover album, full of recognizable and lesser-known songs, including John Lennon's “Julia.” The full album is currently available for preview on Bandcamp.com.

FASCINOMA has seen success before. Her debut, self-titled album was released in 2008. The first track, “I'm Walking This Road Because You Stole My Car (Don't Go),” was featured on an episode of the popular FOX Television’s animated show American Dad and inspired a flurry of online search activity as fans sought to identify the singer of the song.  She’s hoping to further expand her reach with the release of an album inspired by the most well-known musical act in pop and rock history.

Daughter of first-generation Taiwanese immigrants, FASCINOMA was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Despite living in the birthplace of rock-and-roll, she grew up with more traditional musical influences, eventually arriving at the folk-pop sensibilities that define her work. While it's impossible to live a life in the modern world completely absent of all Beatles music, she spent most of her formative years with only a cursory knowledge of their art and influence. It wasn't until she left for college and began focusing on music as a goal that she realized just what she was missing out on.

To make up for lost time, she chose to embark on a full-length album of Beatles covers so she could discover and immerse herself in their musical legacy. In a conscious effort to dig deeper, she turned to her musician friends and colleagues for help, asking them for advice on which songs they found most interesting. The result is an album that is less a greatest hits than a favorite hits record, full of songs that are recognizable to Beatles fans yet not completely iconic to the general public, like “Something,” “Happiness Is A Warm Gun” and “Julia.”

According to musician / producer Raymond Richards (Rockets Red Glare), who lent his help on early recording sessions, “The album isn't...a commercial album; it's a personal album. She's taken classic songs that everyone knows and interpreted them with a beautiful naivete."

Preview the album on FASCINOMA's Bandcamp site.

The full album will be available across digital platforms on October 27, 2017.
