First Year in Private Law Practice, Gets AV, top rating!

The Martindale AV rating is tough to get. Most attorneys never earn it. But one attorney earned it shortly after opening his law office. How? 

Well, put this is the “Many-years-in-the-making-over-night-success- story” file.  Javier Rios is an award winning San Jose Criminal Defense Attorney. He has over twenty-eight years of experience.  Mr. Rios speaks fluent Spanish. Last year he won a prestigious award, the Brian Schechmeister award, given by the Santa Clara County Public Defender's Office.  Shortly before that, one of his cases, the famous Summit Fire case was dismissed and was front page news in San Jose.   

But he is new to private practice.  This is his first year of being a solo practitioner.  He had been an attorney in the Santa Clara County Public Defender's Office for many years. He wasted no time in earning top marks, an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.  Maybe the San Jose Mercury News was right when they described him as “considerable legal firepower.”  

Javier is modest though. He would rather talk about his cool law firm logo than his top rating. "Check out my logo" he says, "It is the best lawyer logo in town."
