Father David Pascoe selected as Top Professional of the Year in Theology by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Father David Pascoe, Ph. D, Former Dean of The Cathedral of Saint Stephen, was selected as "Top Professional of the Year in Theology" for 2017 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements. www.iaotp.com/award-gala.

With over 2 decades of professional experience in Roman Catholic Ministry, Father Pascoe has certainly proven himself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field.  He has demonstrated success not only in systematic theology but has also been an inspirational educator, mentor and has led Catholic services for the church to an international level.  Dr. Pascoe has a very impressive repotoire of prior roles.  In 1989 he was ordained to the presbyterate for the Archdiocese of Brisbane. In 1997 he was appointed by bishops of Queensland to teach systematic theology at Pius XII Seminary in and subsequently with St. Paul’s Theological College, Brisbane until 2008.  He held positions of Academic Dean, President of St Paul’s Theological College and Head of the School of Theology at Australian Catholic University.  In 2013 he was recruited by the archbishop to become the Dean of The Cathedral of Saint Stephen.  His key responsibilities included, conducting meetings with the archbishop, pastoral care, broadcasting mass on the internet, and youth ministry services.  His expertise is in Theology, Religion, and Liturgy.

Father Pascoe received his Ph.D. in systematic theology at Weston Jesuit Theological College, MA, USA and has post doctoral work in higher education and systematic theology. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Father Pascoe has been active in his community and recognized worldwide for his outstanding leadership and commitment in Catholic Services and Higher Education. He has received awards, accolades’ and has been featured in publications and magazines such as Who’s Who, Top 101 Industry Experts, and is being considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine. In 2014 he was named VIP of the Year by Worldwide Branding and for 2017 named “Top Professional of the Year in Theology” by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).  He has served as Chair of Brisbane Archdiocese Commission for Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations, and Co-Secretary of National Roman Catholic-Uniting Church Dialogue.  He is affiliated with the Assembly of Catholic Professionals, Worldwide Branding, and lifetime member of IAOTP.

Aside from his successful career in ministry and education, Father Pascoe has also been a sought after lecturer and keynote speaker. The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami stated that “Choosing Father Pascoe for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  He is inspiring, brilliant, humble, and passionate in his work.  He is an international leader taking the Catholic Church to a new level and he was exactly what we were looking for.  We know we will be seeing more outstanding things from this man and hope to spend time with him at the gala.”

Looking back, Father Pascoe attributes his success to his experience, hard work and fulfillment he receives from the parish.  Father Pascoe says he has been blessed, he loves doing what he is doing, and feels this is just the beginning.  When he is not working he enjoys reading, bushwalking and travelling.

For the future, Father Pascoe will continue to serve his community and hopes to continue making a difference in people’s lives anyway that he can.
