Dr. Avshalumov’s medical career began when he graduated with his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Peninsula Hospital Center, and completed his fellowship training in Joint Preservation, Resurfacing, and Replacement at Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital, 2009, during which he participated in over 750 joint surgeries.

Well versed in the latest procedures in his field, Dr. Avshalumov maintains professional memberships with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
