Dr. Perna attends Sports Medicine Symposium

  NEW YORK, NY - 05/17/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

In mid April Dr. Perna traveled to Colorado Springs to attend the Sports Chiropractic Symposium.  The hotel was in the shadow of the United States Olympic Committee building for a good reason- Most of the speakers at the summit were, in fact, doctors of the USOC.  These top sports doctors present cases and the latest research available to the Olympic Athletes of this country to keep them in top shape and pain free.  The topics of discussion went from the latest research and consensus for concussion treatment methods to the newest recovery methods during a race versus training.

Dr. Perna is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP).  A board certification with a rigorous study program and a brutal final test.  The USOC has determined it will only utilize and work with chiropractors that have the distinguished CCSP. “To offer the same care that top athletes receive and keep abreast of the latest research and protocols for evidence based care was the main reason I pursued the long road to becoming a CCSP” says Dr. Perna.  “I am happy to say our protocols are in lock and step with the expectations and protocols of the USOC”.
