Dr. Joely Eberhardt selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Dr. Joely Marim Eberhardt, Pediatric Dentist for Smiles Oneonta was just recently selected as Empowered Woman of the Year for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry.  

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few women are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience in the field, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, and contributions to their communities.  These are truly incredibly talented women who have dedicated their life to their work and have had a lifetime of achievement and success in a male dominated industry! 

In 2018 Dr. Eberhardt was honored at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala for her selection as Top Pediatric Dentist of the Year, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.  For 2019, she will be honored at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala being held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas for her selection for the Empowered Woman of the Year Award. www.iaotp.com/award-gala  

Dr. Eberhardt is being recognized for this achievement for dedicating over 10 years in the field and for demonstrating leadership and success in a male dominated industry. Dr. Eberhardt has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in her field.  She has demonstrated success not only as a Pediatric Dentist but also as Owner of her private dental practice located in Oneonta, Alabama. Dr. Eberhardt’s key responsibilities aside from treating her patients, includes overseeing all the daily operations and managing all financial aspects of the practice. Her impressive repertoire of education, experience and training include earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery, earning her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Dentistry from the University of  Alabama School of Dentistry, and completing a Doctor of Dental Medicine also through the University of Alabama.  Dr. Eberhardt also holds certifications in preventative and interceptive orthodontics, and endodontics.  

The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami stated that “Choosing Dr. Eberhardt for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  She is brilliant, her list of accomplishments and accolades are beyond impressive, she is active in other organizations, and she was exactly what we were looking for.  We know we will be seeing more outstanding things from this woman and cannot wait to celebrate her success at this year’s gala.” 

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Eberhardt has been active in her community and recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment in the field. She has received awards, accolades and has been featured in publications. For 2019, Dr. Eberhardt is being considered to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and was selected for the Empowered Woman of the Year Award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).  For 2018 she was selected as Top Pediatric Dentist of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) and for 2017 she was listed among America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.  In 2012 Dr. Eberhardt was named Professional of the Year in Pediatric Dentistry by Cambridge Who’s Who and she was acknowledged for Best Overall Clinical Abilities from the University of Alabama.  Dr. Eberhardt is a member of the Birmingham District Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association and the American Dental Association.   

Looking back, Dr. Eberhardt attributes her success to her experience, education, mentors she has had along the way and the unconditional support and love she receives from her family.  Dr. Eberhardt says she has been blessed, she loves doing what she is doing and feels this is just the begining.  When she is not working Dr. Eberhardt enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. For the future Dr. Eberhardt hopes to continue to make a difference in people’s lives anyway that she can.
