Dr. Brenda Jefferson’s Annual Ladies and Lyrics Concert Continues Resounding Success; Multi-award-winning and chart-topping recording artists fulfill mission by bringing songs to life

Accomplished pastor, author, songwriter, and pillar in the Tampa community, Dr. Brenda Jefferson’s annual Ladies & Lyrics concert was a resounding success where multi-award winning and chart-topping recording artists brought songs to life that were penned by Jefferson over the years. 

The twofold standing-room-only event was a combination of Dr. Brenda’s birthday celebration and the fourth annual Ladies & Lyrics concert held at the Living In Victory Christian Church located in Valrico, FL.

Hosted by Stephen Hurd, the inspirational evening featured BET’s Sunday Best Latice Crawford, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Michelle Prather, C. Ashley Brown, Stephanie J. Pride, comedian, Tirrell McCoy and a surprise performance by Ashley Cook, daughter of Michael Cook of the legendary quartet group The Mighty Clouds of Joy. In addition, Dr. Brenda performed her song “Pen of Ready Writer” featuring Tampa’s native son, Samuel Washington.

“By far this year’s event was our best yet,” exclaimed Jefferson. “With a full house, we were able to minister to the lives of many and uplift the spirits of not only those in attendance but also those who viewed online.” She added, “It was our desire to bring awareness to our youth initiative and indeed we were able to do just that. Our special guests were amazing and our team is truly looking forward to continuing to impact the youth of today.”

The event was originated from the “Pen of A Ready Writer” project, produced by Grammy & Stellar Award-winning producer, Myron Butler, featuring Stellar Award winner, Lucinda Moore, Stellar Award nominee, Lecresia Campbell, Rhonda McLemore, Ryan Horton, Shawn McLemore, Sunday Best finalist, Danetra Moore and multiple Stellar and Grammy® Award-winning great Dorinda Clark-Cole.

The celebration came to an unforgettable close with a rendition of “Happy Birthday” led by the entire congregation wishing Dr. Brenda Jefferson happy birthday.
