DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY ASKS HELLAS TO HELP SAVE THEIR FOOTBALL SEASON

Hellas Construction has been called upon to help Delta State University after their football field that was installed by another turf company has become unplayable according to the school. Since the field was installed in 2014, the university has experienced multiple issues with the field and its components. Repairs were made each time, but the field has now deteriorated to where Delta State’s football season would have to be played off-site or moved to another stadium unless the field is rebuilt before the season is over. Hellas Construction was recommended as the go-to team to save the season.
“We are pleased to have Hellas Construction contracted as our partner on this project,” DSU Director of Athletics Ronnie Mayers said. “Hellas has a long-standing tradition of excellence in field construction and we are counting on them to deliver their Matrix Turf system to allow us to safely play our home games at Parker Field-McCool Stadium.”

Delta State University’s Foundation decided to take action and hired Hellas Construction to come in and remove and replace the competitor’s failing field and save their football season. Hellas Construction arrived today to start the rebuilding and reinstallation process at Parker Field-McCool Stadium, with scheduled completion in time for the September 9th game against Chowan University. The first game that was scheduled for September 2nd will be moved to an off-site location not yet determined.
